Currently, we are seeking qualified candidates for a Senior Hardware Engineer opening to join our  Electronics Architecture Team in the Global Electronics organization.

 Day to Day

The Senior Hardware Engineer will provide technical leadership for the development and deployment of a library of electronic circuits to be used by a team of hardware engineers within the global electronics organization. The library of circuits as well as standards for usage will be defined and documented by the Senior Hardware Engineer.  The specific area of focus for the Senior Hardware Engineer will be around user interface circuits, and compliance with low power / standby power regulations.  The Senior Hardware engineer will analyze, design, document, validate and deliver highly reliable electronic hardware solutions for use on electronic controls.  This person will work with engineers from various design regions within client to collect requirements, review existing designs, and collect potential design ideas to leverage the knowledge of the team for library implementation.  A typical week could include conducting a global review with a team of hardware engineers from around the globe, analyzing several circuits to understand which existing design is best suited for global roll-out, working with other hardware engineers to complete testing and documentation of a design, or providing technical support to engineers across various regions.

What You Will Do

Analyze, design, document, review, and test high quality hardware designs in the area of User Interface, and low standby power control systems

Analyze current situation versus low standby power consumptions standards.  Define strategy for global compliance in a way that is highly cost effective, robust, and provides for a short time to market.

Analyze current & future User Interface design requirements versus the existing portfolio of available standard circuits.  Define strategy/roadmap for future User Interface hardware circuit design in a way that is highly cost effective, robust, and provides for a short time to market.

Analyze existing hardware modules to determine which option(s) are best suited for global standardization across all systems categories

Identify, analyze, solve and communicate problems

Provide technical consulting and support to aid project teams in the application of advanced User Interface and low standby power control systems

Travel to regions, collect input, communicate strategies, standards, and provide guidance/training to local teams on how to comply with the low standby power consumption and User Interface Architecture.
